I just got my new pc and it has a i5-4670K and a Asus B85M-G (I know its not a overclocking motherboard) However, before i got all the drivers for the motherboard i could overclock to 4.0Ghz but now after installing chipset drivers i can only get 3.6GHz ... its does not crash just when i set it above 3.6 it does not change at all! Also i dont want to remove the chipset driver because it caused a lot of crashes. Plz Help :)

Solution
If I remember correctly, Intel realized people could do a “base clock OC” to chips on a non-overclocking motherboard. They wanted people to purchase a Z series board to OC so they issued BIOS updates that removed this feature from the H and B series motherboards. You’ll have to get a Z series board to OC.
