Pc build opinion please

Please help me in selecting the right components

1- ASUS TUF Z370 PLUS GAMING OR MSI Z270 GAMING M3
2- Core i5-8400
3- Gigabyte Geforce Gtx 1050ti ( please let me know if my motherboard supports it or not ?)
4- Kingston Technology HyperX FURY 2666MHz DDR4

I need a pc for gaming and video editing. Limited budget I have so selecting the right components would really help me out.

1050 ti is supported, just a little bit too weak for gaming at ultra for 1080p. For your price point, Ryzen 1600 + GTX 1060 6gb is a better choice.

1- the z370 board, the 8th generation CPU's are not compatible with the 2xx series motherboards the z270 will not work with number 2
2- good call
3- supported.
4- should be fine.

Can't use Z270 with the 8400. Have to use the Z370.

After long research and benchmarks i found that core i5 8400 is much better compare to ryzen 1600
