I have had a continuous problem with my second hard drive on my computer. My main drive where my OS and important files are is a 256 GB SSD while my main storage is a 2 TB 7200 rpm. I have a download folder on both and the default for all my files downloaded to my PC is on my secondary HDD. For some reason, whenever I turn off my computer it automatically deletes all the files in my download folder on my secondary hard drive. I've searched and have been unable to find an answer to this problem. I was wondering if anyone has run into the same issue? Is this due to me having two folders on different drives named the same thing? Is there possibly a setting that causes my download folder on my secondary to automatically delete all files? I've never set up anything to do this so I really don't know why it is doing this. I can give all specs to my build but I don't think it is that important as I don't have any other issues with my computer. Thanks for the help, long time creeper, first time poster.

** It does not delete my files when I put the computer to sleep, only when I power it off completely.

Yes, it is an actual folder that I created named "Download." Now that I look back my computer is actually deleting the contents of both folders named "Download" on my drives. None of the files appear in my recycling bin, they are just, gone. The shortcut to my download folder defaults to the one on my SSD.

You're downloading these things through your web browser?

And after the download completes, they are just...gone?
Have you done a search on the whole drive for the filename of the downloaded thing?

Could be. But I can't imagine anything that would just delete things on its own.

Maybe a setting improperly applied in some cleanup thing?
