Hi I just booted up my new PC build and began downloading drivers. The Asus website BIOS update comes in the form of a .cap file and I am wondering what I'm suppose to do with this? I read something about flashing it but there must be an easier way?

Solution
You need to extract the file (if compressed), then copy contents of that folder to a usb flash drive. Reboot the system, enter the bios, enter the ezflash utility in the bios, and select the bios file from the usb flash drive. It will then update and restart.

Easier way like what? You can either put it on a flash drive go into the BIOS. And flash it.

Or leave it on the hdd go into the BIOS and select it on the hdd then flash it.

There maybe a program for windows on the site. But, I wouldnt use ASUS Liveupdate or whatever it's called now. It can freeze.
