as the title suggests which is better for the money, 1200 or 1300x? theres only like a £10 difference? i have the rx 460 so want a CPU that will match its preformance and not bottleneck as my current cpu does (Athlon x4 880k)
full specs:
GPU: rx 460 windforce oc 4gb
CPU: athlon x4 880k
motherboard: Asus A58M-E AMD A58 FCH Chipset, Crossfire Supported
RAM: 8gb DDR3/1866mhz
CASE: Cooler master elite 310 mid tower gaming case with see-thru side panel
HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s cashe 7200RPM
Power Supply: 650 watts power supplies (corsair 650 watts VS650)

Solution
for 10 pound difference, the 1300X obviously is better XD
higher clock/boost out of the box, no need for any hassle of manual OCing

for motherboard, go with any B350 of your preference, but get the 4 RAM slot when it's possible, something in the line of Asrock B350 Pro4 / MSI B350 PC Mate would serve you well :)
as for RAM, getting the ones rated up to 3200mhz [DDR4 of course, new gens] would be better do, as you can OC it later on [when u're interested / need the extra performance] as Ryzen build gets improved with faster RAM too :)

i recommend on a better PSU too if possible, the VS line up are known to be a low quality one... although in your PC's case, it's not too necessary, as the PC doesn't really consumes too much, u would be...

something like the G3 550w / Seasonic G 550w / TXM 550w would serve you good enough, and can handle future upgrades [like RX 580 / GTX 1080 perhaps] just fine :)

Solution
If no overclocking, 1300x is your choice, stock at 3.5, you will need DDR4 ram as well.
You can get something like this:

If windows 10 was preinstalled , OEM , or was upgraded from a previous windows you likely don't have an actual key to use.

I'd this is the case make sure you have a Microsoft account & a windows login that's tied to it on your current system.

When you install windows from scratch ,(as you will have to with an entirely new chipset) just follow the below info

It's a 5 minute process
