I currently use a Intel Core i7 2600 pared with an Asus Strix GTX 960, but I want to upgrade my processor.
I do some gaming at 1080p, but I mainly want to encode movies (I rip and transcode my blu ray collection to my server), and some light video editing.
What is the best bang for the buck Ryzen processor and motherboard for this? I have been looking at the Ryzen 5 1600, may go up to 1700 if its better for encoding. What motherboard works well with these components?
