I'm starting up a PC build this Christmas and want to make sure I'm not fucking anything up too bad. I don't want to go over $1050.

PCPartPickerList: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WbY9bj

My main issues are:
(1) Should I be opting for a more expensive GPU?
(2) Should I buy the PC on Cyber Monday/Black Friday for the sales?
(3) Is 16 GB of ram worth the price?

The build will mainly be for 1080p gaming on PUBG, Squad, Battlefield, and other games. I already have peripherals and a monitor.
Feedback is appreciated.

Solution
1) 1070 Is hard to fit into the budget and depends on your monitor.
2) You may wait, up to you
3) 8gb is good enough for now and fit your budget

Comments on the build:
1) Ryzen loves dual channel (2 sticks from same pack) and fast ram, 3000+ is preferred
2) PSU can be cheaper and better

My edits:

Add SSD later and migrate OS to SSD.

For a $1K build I think I would actually go for an i5-8400 over an R5-1600.
