Hi All,

I just overclock my ryzen 5 1600 to 3,7 Ghz , Stock cooler.
VCORE voltage , set to minimum offset +0.00625 (if i am not mistaken), as my research some people can run it on stock voltage stably
SOC voltage, i left it to auto 1.100 V

I run Cinebench over and over, no crash
Then run Prime95 for around 3 hours, the max temp reach 84C, no crash

What you think?
Is that temperature normal? My chassis fan is 2 intake , 1 exhaust and the ambient temperature here is quite high around 30C ( i feel sweat without blower)

And somtimes i feel like my mouse lagging. is it caused by insufficient voltage ? should i add more voltage to get more stable ?

Thank you

84 is boundary safe. Absolute max is 95 by AMD official site. Prime 95 is too stressing, normal usage will not stress CPU like that. You are fine and do not use prime95 to test, aida64/real bench are more reasonable :) Many reported prime95 too stressing and may damage components. My prime95 is ~84 as well with 1600 and normal usage is max 70.

Good to hear that,
I will try to lowering the voltage to 1.23125V (-0.00625V from the stock voltage 1,23750V)
Just read from other threads , some people can get 3.7 stably with these voltage
Is it ok right, lower voltage means lower temp ? as long as can pass stress test

And for AIDA64 test, is it enough to test for half or an hour ?
i can not keeping my eye on monitor for more than 2 hours, moreover 12/24 hours like most people suggested

And for SOC, Does it have impact to overcloking?
Im not really understand with this, thats why i leave it to Auto

Thank You

If you are using same CPU, can i have your current stable OC config ? thanks

Last nihgt i did :
3.7 GHz
VCORE 1.231V
SOC Auto (have yet overclock the memory)
LLC Auto

Stress test AIDA64 5 Hours sable (CPU,FPU,Cache)
Temp max 72C (quite good i think)

BUT

In the statistic show that
VCORE Min/Idle 1.242V
VCORE Max 1.297V

Is it caused by Auto LLC?
Should i change it to manual?
What best between Regular/Medium/High/Extreme ?

Thanks

Mine is 3000MHz stick
When i set to DOCP 2933 , the SOC Auto to 1.1V
Stress test all is stable , although when i try to touch the SOC heatsink it is quite hot, i can not keep my finger there for 10 seconds

if i try to manual the SOC, what is the recommended volt?

Which better for mem testing ? memtest86 or prime95 (although not recommended)/real bench/aida64 like u mentioned above
if there is any differents

i never use in windows memory test, only memtest86

Hey may i ask, i got the same processor + MSI B350M Mortar
im trying out 3.7ghz @ 1.3V
at desktop idling my Core Voltage in CPU-Z showing its at 1.344V meanwhile in CPUID HWmonitor CPU Vcore max showing 1.352V this is after i ran a hour each of Prime/Aida and a few Cinabench.

also done this
CPU LLC to mode 2
enable over voltage protection
enable over current protection.

Was wondering if the CPU voltage in my case are normal? i thought i would be close around +/- 1.3V that ive set in bios.

How many try until u get that stable vcore?

Mine two trys, both are stable

Is it worth to try lowering the vcore and spend more hours until the lowest stable vcore?

are you stressing for hours every 0.01 step?

is this 3.7ghz / max 1.37V ?

also i heard people said that setting Voltage at 1.3V and play around with CPU clock/ or vice versa is like a general tip. Is it good to follow?
