So I bought a CPU i5 2500k and replace my old CPU i3 3220. But seems like it wont boot. The heatsink fan is working, as well with the GPU fan, However, theres not boot at all. I put my old CPU back and it works like charm. I updated my bios, and reset CMOS, but still the i5 2500k wont boot.

Here's some of my spec detail

Motherboard : Asrock H61m-Vg4
PSU : 450W
Ram : Kingston 4GB x 2
GPU : Zotac Geforce 1050 2GB Mini
500GB SATA

Please help.

Solution
So, does the 2500K actually work?
The board will support it, so there's no issue there, leading the suspicion to fall on the CPU itself.

Nice suggestion, never thinking of that cause I bought it on used condition. Will do a refund to the seller. Thanks.

Am having almost the some issue, but different, I have a intel core i5 3470 but the BIOS, CPU-Z and system information shows it as i3 2130.
I made sure that the mobo is compatible and I have set everything right. And even updated my BIOS. But when I try with a different mobo, the i5 works perfectly.
