Help in buying a graphics card

Hi,
I am a gamer and wanted to buy a graphics card. Please suggest me some of the cheap 6 or 8gb(more preferable). Is amd rx580 8gb better than gtx 1060. My budget is $309.86. Please help

Ok, then do i need a greater CPU, i am using intel core i3 2120 cpu @3.30ghz. does cpu have any greater impact.

My specs:
CPU:Intel Core i3 2120 @ 3.30ghz (preinstalled)
PSU (Power Supply Unit):huntkey 180 watt (preinstalled)
RAM(memory):ramaxel 1x2gb (preinstalled) earlier,upgraded it to 1x8gb (crucial ddr3)
Graphics Card:Sapphire Radeon R5230 2gb (was not preinstalled)
Hard Disk: Seagate Barracuda ST3320413AS 320 GB Internal Hard Drive

Also when i looked into bios, my RAM was running @1330mhz instead of 1600mhz
I bought this PC from Lenovo
Model: Lenovo Think centre Edge 71 desktop (MT-M 1607-Rz2)

brother this 2011 cpu can run gta 5 with 30-40fps.
 
Yes, it probably can, but putting a good GPU in isn't going to increase it, you'll still be 30-40fps, that's why I said a GTX 1050Ti would be the most your computer can handle.

Yes, though upgrading a gpu isn't always to increase FPS you know... A better gpu maintains better graphical settings and resolution.

Op, what is your monitor.
 
Be careful with your expectations, GTA V was released in 2013 and while cpu heavy for the time its fairly average now. In the latest cpu heavy games your cpu simply won't give playable frame rates regardless of gpu. It is a long way under the minimum spec of many modern games.

As long as you appreciate this and set your expectations accordingly then you are ok.

Should i upgrade to i3 3240 , it is of 3rd generation.
and meanwhile i can exchange my processor with that one as both of them are of same price
 
You wouldn't be getting much of a gain with that CPU. You want to get an i5, like the 3470 or 3570.
