I've been struggling with stabilizing my amd fx-9590 since I got it. At some point I was able to fix it in the bios but after having to re-install windows and resetting the bios the random freezing came back and I dont remember how I fixed it previously. Attempting to fix this again I followed multiple guides on stabilizing the 9590 manually in the bios but after testing new settings to the voltage and speed my computer shuts down before allowing me to access the bios. Im not sure how to recover from this, any help is appreciated.

PC specs:
amd fx-9590
asus 990fx sabertooth r2.0
corsair HX750i psu
corsair H110i GTX water cooler
gtx 970 gen 1
4x Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600mhz (total of 32GB)

Solution
Try resetting your CMOS. Battery on your motherboard. Remove it for about a minute. there may also be a simple switch on youyr board allowing you one press reset. refer to your boards manual if you have it or give it a good once over for a clear_cmos switch/button

Thanks, I'm not sure if leaving it off for long enough allowed it to boot (theres no way the cpu overheated) or if the button I found in manual helped but im back in the bios now
