1'st build at 62. I am looking at core i5 7600, ASRock (H270 Pro4), EVGA 1050... not sure on the graphic card. I am a light gamer, though nothing serious like call of duty. I need help RAM 2 x 8 DDR4. Thinking about a Corsair 200R case as I like the look. I have a 1 TB Samsung EVO SSD and OS. I've been told that the EVGA 450 B power supply should work great. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Why I5-7600... I5-8400 is the one for Intel or pick Ryzen. 1 TB SSD, fortune! EVGA 450B not very good.

Many thanks. Carey Holzman's youtube channel convinced me to do my own build. I have been checking out possibilities for over a month since my primary PC died. I almost folded and bought a prepackaged Dell again, but this time I wanted something better. I wanted something I put together myself with a little help from some friends. I do have a degree in science (info systems). I should have walked in the door instead of just looking in at the tech side of things. Well wish me luck.

I think the 1050 ti is what I will go with, and even that may be more then what I will actually need unless you think otherwise. Not to mention it's $100.00 less, and I don't do a a lot of serious gaming. Not that money is a real issue, it's just I do want to waste. Here is my shopping list so far.
(Bundled at New Egg - Processor & Motherboard): Core i5-8400 2.8GHz 6-Core: MSI - Z370-A PRO ATX LGA1151
RAM: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce GTX 1050 ti or EVGA - GeForce GTX 1060 6gb
Case: Corsair - 200R ATX Mid Tower
Do you think the 620 watt power supply can handle the load?

I have a friend who think s bigger is better for the power supply, and smaller is better for the graphics card. I think we have a winner. I also liked the Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02 case. also, does the i5 come with a cooler? if not what one do you suggest?

I wish there was something I could do to repay you for your support and your kindness. It will take a few days, but I will keep you posted on the build. Thanks again. Rupe.

But Jan or Feb is such a long time away. I am here using an old IMAC that I just pulled out of moth balls and loaded win7 on. It is slow and I don't even have bootcamp loaded up on it. It has been so long that I don't even remember how to do it lol. It was a good pc back when I got it. never used it much as a mac. a friend talked me into it. I am going to hold out as long as possible, but I am going stir crazy.

I have been looking at the core i3 8350k. for my casual gaming it is looking pretty good. took a look at the reviews on techspot where they review the i3 8350k, i3 8100 as well as other intel and ryzen products. The review covers features I will never come close to. I may play Civilization VI and Minecraft, but that is about all. Nothing to serious, just two player games with computer AI's in Civ VI. I also like the old games like Empire Earth when I can get them to work, but not the new games like call of duty. I just want to keep this old brain of mine active.
