"Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media"

I recently got a Giada f302 fanless PC. While trying to set it up for the first time, I get "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media and press any key" on my screen. I am using a USB DVD writer to try and install it with the disc thats provided, but i cant get past this. I've tried changing the boot order in the BIOS but still it doesnt work.

from looking online you have to add a storage device. there none with this unit. i would use the m2 slot if you dont have a lot of data. if you do use the sata port. too and use a laptop hard drive for storage.

So what OS are you trying to install?
This OS is on a properly constructed DVD?

What "disc that was provided" is this? That may just be the DVD with the drivers on it. Not the actual OS.

the disc says 'Mini PC Motherboard Driver' on it. Does this mean I have to purchase the OS separately?

You bought hardware. You have not yet purchased an OS for it.

Presumably you want Windows 10?
