Hello again,
Last month when my GPU was getting hot I accepted the fact that it might be because of the climate and ambient temperatures being hot but now when the weather is pretty and ambient temperatures have dropped still my "Gigabyte geforce GTX 1060 windforce OC hits 81-82 °C in just 10 minutes of gameplay "under load" I've seen cards like evga sc runs cooler even after having single fan I'm really worried about the card, I have also contacted customer support but still not getting any help, My actual concern is if the temperature of my card reaches 81 at this time of the year, then what will happen in actual summer?? Since 83 is the target temperature and I know it well throttle itself to maintain temperatures below it but I don't want any compromise in performance due to thermal throttling
My pc specs :
Cpu : i5 7500 with a stock cooler
Motherboard : asus Rog strix B250f
GPU : gigabyte windforce GTX 1060 OC
HDD : 500 GB of HDD
Ram : 8GB Corsair vengeance
Psu : Corsair VS 550 W
Thanks, in advance for any assistance :)

81-82 °C is normal for GPU, most of them will throtle at 90/95°C
I have XFX R580 , it reach 89°C when playing GTA V
If you feel unconfortable , you can try to downclock your GPU, lowering itu 50MHz or so will help a bit
or set the FPS cap in the Game if posible
what case and what other fans do you have in your case ? have you run HWINFO to look at the CPU temps as well ?
80-85 is high but not unlikely to be seen on stock video cards gpu, most cases , adjusting the fans speed curve thru MSI Afterburner (not overcloking it) will provide with proper ventilation.

example I have a GTX970, and like you I was running 80-82 while gaming, so I replaced the heat sink paste, and got the same result.
used MSI Afterburner and changed the temp curve , and set it as 40c @ 40%, 70c @ 65%, 75c @ 80%,. 80c @ 100%
now my video card runs at 72-74c while playing video games.. yes the fan is a little louder than it used to be... but its doing its job.

I'm sorry paladin I accidentally voted down your answer that was none of my intentions, but yeah! I'm using circle cc 820 cabinet and yeah I've also set a custom fan curve on MSI afterburner and believe me even when the fans are running at 80% the card still hits the same temperatures :(

I assume you've been keeping everything clean and there isn't a bunch of dust blocking airflow to the GPU section or built up in the GPU itself? Also are the fans actually spinning? I know these are probably obvious questions, but sometimes...

Actually this is my new build, it's been not even a month, and it's pretty clean I've assured there's no dust and yeah fans are spinning I've monitored their Rpm and for double checking I've checked it through my eyes since I have a transparent panel on my cabinet
