Hey everyone,

Just looking for some advice. As the title says, looking to get a new GPU and just weighing up options. My PC is used mainly for gaming, not fussed about 4K right now. Just want to be able to run new/future games at higher settings. Mostly used to play FPS and RPGs.

I'm keen to stay with NVIDIA cards, just looking for some direction of the best 10 series for my current setup. Usually buy from scan.co.uk and budget is around the £400-£600 mark.

GPU - 2GB Asus GTX 770 DirectCU II OC
CPU - i7 4770K 3.5GHz
PWR - 760W Corsair AX760
MoBo - Asus MAXIMUS VI GENE, Intel Z87
Case - Fractal Design Define R4
RAM - (2x8GB) Corsair DDR3 1600MHz
Monitor - 144Hz 1080p

Thanks!

Well, technically, your old GPU should be equal to...

Well, technically, your old GPU should be equal to the 1050 (drop the 10s down by 1 every generation so 770 --> 960 --> 1050). However, based on the actual tiers (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html), the minimum upgrade you'd probably want is a GTX 1070. That'll be more than enough to handle 1080p/144Hz or 1440p/60Hz in 99% of the games out there, & won't be held back by your CPU. Depending on price & availability, you could always get the 1070TI or 1080 instead (I'd go for the latter).
