So for awhile I have been running Windows 8.1 with no issues at all. I wanted to test out some better file explorers so I tried installing Q-Dir. Everything was fine until I uninstalled it because I wanted to switch to Better Explorer.

Now whenever I try to open a file it says "Application not found" i.e. https://i.imgur.com/AhJRPSG.png

I can open explorer.exe just fine when pressing Win+R and running explorer.exe, but even opening folders inside the file explorer itself returns with the error "Application not found."

How do I set the default opener of folders and things like control panel to explorer.exe?

Solution
Hi, give this a try:

Reinstall Q-Dir.
Click on the Extras menu.
Click on Q-Dir as default browser.
Uncheck "Folder" and any other checked items on this menu.
Close Q-Dir.
Uninstall Q-Dir again.

Folders should work correctly once again.
