Hello. First things first, I'm planning to build my own PC. I have a final list of all the components for my specific needs except for motherboard. It's just happens that I'm a total noob when it comes to motherboards and need your help choosing the one with the best compatibility.

I have a feeling there are literally thousands of treads like this, so forgive me for creating another one. Btw, I did read the stickies here about motherboeards but still have hard time grasping all the technical info. Well, I undestand the very basics but it's better to ask experts and be safe than sorry.

I'll be using my PC for mostly Photoshop work. PS6 and LR6 simultaneously. And since I need to edit everyday huge amount of photos, I need a lag free beast PC

Anyway, I'm going to write down all the main parts and explain why I chose them. Oh and if you have better recommendations regarding some components, I'd be happy to hear your opinion. Maybe I could save some ca$h. Even if not, let's hear your thoughts.

DEEPCOOL GENOME ROG Certified Edition PC Case with Integrated 360mm Liquid Cooling System and Aura RGB Lighting System
Not sure about this one. I chose this case basically because it has already installed liquid cooling system. My GPU wouldn't probably benefit from it much because I don't play games and can't imagine GPU getting hot under normal non-gaming conditions. But maybe my CPU could? And maybe I could get something like this? And just buy a regular case? Thus saving some money.

MSI GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G 6GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready ATX Video Card
Nice Performance/price ratio. Should be more than enough for photo editing, working with multiple photoshops etc.

CORSAIR RMx Series RM1000X 1000W 80 PLUS GOLD Haswell Ready Full Modular ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply SLI and Crossfire Ready
Not much to talk here. Solid time tested brand. Although 1000w will probably be way too much for current build but just want to leave some space if for some reason I decide to add something else. Maybe change GPU or add another one.

CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Memory Kit Model CMD16GX4M2B3000C15
From my research, I decided that 16GB is the sweet spot for now and at least couple more years. Just not sure if I'll benefit from 3000Hz and if there's a noticeable difference between 2400 and 3000.

Intel Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake Quad-Core 4.2 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80677I77700K Desktop Processor
Great price/performance ratio. Should handle all the tasks with no problem. I think.

ASUS Xonar DS 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Audio Card
Have no clue about sound cards. Just went by price and reviews.

Corsair Force MP500 M.2 2280 480GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F480GBMP500
Chose this one because of PCI-Express 3.0 x4 which should yield much better performacne than compared to SATA SSDs and price looks all right.

Last component should be motherboard, obviously. But since I have very little technical info regarding it, I need your help. After reading here "how to pick up a motherboard" things got even more complicated for me and got my head spinning from all the compatibilities there needs to be.

Hope to hear your recommendations.

Much appreciate.
