Graphics Card Issues

Solution
I looked up your system, and it says it has a free x16 PCI-E slot, so YES, you could install the GPU, just be aware of the size of the card as it is a small form factor design case, but as you're asking for the single fan model i don't think you would have any issues at all.

Really? Based on......what?

What power supply comes in that unit?

How capable is that power supply?

Is the power supply capable of supporting additional hardware or was it designed to be barely adequate for the required hardware that came with the unit?

In my experience the majority of these pre-built systems came with barely adequate OEM power supplies that usually almost immediately start having problems once an aftermarket card is put in play. Especially if it did not come with at least a 75w PCIe graphics card to start with and the included PSU was, by design, only intended to be used with whatever integrated graphics it came with.

That shouldn't matter really. The x50 series cards like the GTX 750, 950 and 1050, plus the TI variants, are all designed to be used as upgrades to OEM prebuilt type systems anyhow. While it's true he'll likely be CPU limited as far as settings and playability are concerned, it should not be a deal breaker simply because the system is fairly old.

Could be a problem with the 10XX cards.

And the PSU could also be an issue.

And I think it's one of those SFF cases from what I saw.

Could be wrong on that, why I asked for the exact model number.

Not even getting into the bottlenecking issues he could run into if it is a Core 2 Quad.

If it actually would work.

Power supply and bios support, those are the two issues that concern me. Everything else is....whatever it is. Pretty sure any single fan, single slot card will fit any system that has at least one PCIe x16 slot. SFF or not, unless it requires a low profile card, and there are 1050TI cards in LP format as well.

The SFF's I have seen take LP cards and they are limited on space in the cases.

Anyhow waiting to hear back from the OP.

Need to know what it is and what the PSU is etc.
