Hello guys
Im sorry to take your tiem for this but I hope it will be very quick.

From year 2012 I have DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D-4GBXL  (2x4GB ram) 1.5 volt 1600 mhz.
9-9-9-24 (CL9).

I would like to add extra 8 gb (2x4gb).

What specs should I care about when looking for new ram? If it's same voltage and frequence is it okay ? Dual channel + dual channel only or can I add just a single 4gb stick as well ?

I found a cheap 2x4gb Gskill Snipers at same voltage and frequencies. Is it fully compatible with my ripjaws ?

Thank you very much.

(Reason of upgrade: feel like system is running extremely slower and reboots even sometimes at web browsing. Extra rams may help a bit or replace the actual sticks. I tried 3 ram test options but found 0 problem. I'll add an Ssd and try other stuff to solve problems).

Maybe it will work and maybe not. Mixing up RAM always have a chance of compatibility issues, even with exact same model. There is a reason they sell RAM in kits, comes from the same batch and have been tested to work together.
Sell your current RAM and buy a 2x8 GB kit instead.

I understand. Thanks for the reply. Actually thats a good idea. But since the used 2x4 gbis for 35 euros I think it worth a try. I could probably sell it again for the same price.

I'll let you know here about the results.

Later I will post another message for general system performance issues. Before that I will make every possible tests and benchmarks. Thanks again.
