No display,fans spin, no post. Dead CPU or motherboard??!

I have an FX 4300 and a gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3. When I power on the fans spin up. But I get no display.

I have tried different GPUs and power supplies so I figured it could only be the CPU or motherboard.

My past motherboard did not work at all the fans came on for a split second then everything shut off so I bought the gigabyte one.

Someone help I've been trying to solve this for ages.

Try one more, use onboard ATI Radeon HD 3000, and remove all the memory, clear the CMOS. After taht boot the PC, if the PC can boot, but the PC shows no memory error, or beep. That means the cpu/MB are fine, the RAM has problem. If the PC does the same, either the cpu or MB has problem. Assuming you don't have other compatible parts to test, you have to ask someone for help, like your friend, local PC shop.
