i have a gateway pa6a laptop with a T2080 cpu inside . i wanted to upgrade it to a T7800 . both of them are the same socket but the T7800 has a higher tdp of 35 while the t2080 is only 25 tdp,
also will there be any power requirmets problems ? thanks for any help.

You're definitely best case scenario going to take a hit in the battery life, but I generally wouldn't put a new CPU in a laptop that isn't designed for those kinds of upgrades. It is often better to look at putting in some money to get a new laptop that is all around better as you could still hit bottlenecks in performance in other places that render the upgrade mostly useless.

So will it work? Probably. Should you do it? Maybe, but check your budget and see if a new laptop is an option as that would definitely be the better choice here.
