Verizon Ellipsis 8 was updating and now won't turn on.

I have a Verizon Ellipsis 8 and it was updating, froze, and turned off. I tried to turn it back on but all it did was show the Ellipsis screen. I was able to go to the boot loader though and I did wipe the data. It did not help. I want to know if I could update it through ADB or something.

looks like files are corupt bring it in to a repair shop that should do it

I already did and it worked for an hour then it auto updated. It won't turn on. If I have a micro SD card and put android on it, and I boot from the SD card from the bootloader, will it work?
