So im building a pc, or will after i order my parts, so i wanted to know whether my parts would be compatible or not. So far i am going with an i5 6600k and a z170a motherboard, along with a phanteks eclispe p400s case. What i want to know is whether these three parts all work together, and if i can fit a gtx 1060 or 1070 in there.

Solution
Yes, yes and yes, those components are all compatible, but much depends on exactly what you've neglected to mention, which is the power supply. Do you already have one or are you planning to purchase one now?

If so, either way, what is the model that you have or what are you looking at purchasing?

well, i have a corsair 500w power suppply, but if that does not fit i am able to buy another one. I dont even know if it will be enough to run my fture build, so any help on whether i dont have enough room for my current or whether i should upgrade, aswell as which one would be good to upgrade to, would be appreciated. and thank you for replying so quick :)

There are about 35 different models of 500w power supplies that Corsair has sold under a variety of model and series names over the years. Which specific model do you have? The model number is listed on the product specifications sticker that can be found either on the back or one of the sides of the PSU itself.

It matters which one you have because some 500w Corsair units are "ok"-ish, and others are flat out terrible.

Well currently I’m out of the house but I don’t know if telling you that it’s a CX 500w 80 plus bronze certified one.. if u still need the number I’ll be able to post it in a few hours

Nope, that tells me what I need to know. CX500 is the model. Not the greatest power supply around, but not the worst. They have issues with early failure to to poor cooling in the design, when used with gaming systems that see continuous use for long periods of time, but it will work for now.
