I bought a dell optiplex 7010 MT and was going to throw a gtx 1050ti oc windforce in it. Would this be a good first gaming computer that can run most games? Also would the stock psu be good enough?

Specs:
I5 3470 3.2 GHz
4 gb ddr3 ram
2tb HDD
Radeon HD 6450

I am new to pc gaming, so any help or tips would be appreciated.

Well you are going to need more RAM, 8GB total for a gaming machine recommended.

That said a GTX 1050Ti uses less power than the current graphics card in the PC now.

However that GTX 1050Ti you picked has a 6 pin power connector so you need to make sure the PSU has the needed PCIe power connection. BEFORE YOU BUY THE CARD.

Post what the PSU is, model number, wattage etc.

Ok I will probably go with the cheapest one. One more question will this psu work I saw it on sale on Newegg
SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 SLI Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

You have to watch what you are buying, don't get a low profile card... they are the cheapest ones.

This one is good.

That PSU is overkill for that system, but it will work fine.

That optiplex has a spring loaded PSU holder

You want to look for a PSU with a 140mm depth otherwise you will have problems.
That seasonic has 160mm depth.

The s12 520w is fine as is the cx450 already listed.

Also any GPU over 7 inches long interferes with the sata ports on the dell motherboard (you can get round this by buying right angled sata cables but it's an extra expense)

Look at the shorter models of 1050ti.

Yeah , that evga jankerson posted is fine too

You could 'probably' get away with both these cards on the dell PSU , although being a Huntley (which is the weakest psu oem they use) I'd replace it anyway.
If it had been a delta or fsp unit I'd have used it no ussue.
