I get about 1/3 of the frames i should be getting, i have been trying to solve this issue for quite a while and have had no luck, feel free to suggest any solutions im quite responsive and will provide data needed.

system specs

i5-6600k
Msi GeForce Gtx 1060 6gb
Evga 750w PSU
16gb ddr3 ram
CPU cooler 212 hyper evo

40 - 60 fps on Bf1 Ultra
75 - 110 fps on Bf4 Ultra

with the new Star Wars battlefront 2 beta I got really good frame rate in the arcade more (about 90-110 fps) but poor fps in multiplayer (about 30 - 40) I'm yet to test the game again when it releases

its definetly not a heat issue as temps are pretty decent also The nvidia control panel has been configured correctly

If OP was CPU limited in this scenario, turning down settings will not improve the FPS. The only settings that may reduce CPU load are shadows, and draw distance.

If OP is CPU limited, they could turn down those specific settings, further overclock CPU, overclock ram, or upgrade.

your issues is likely CPU bottlenecking your gaming experience, load HWINFO run it in sensor modem,, play a few games and then look at the column under the CPU block it will tell you if it is throttling or not. Have you tried to overclock your cpu to help.?

This is a sign of CPU bottlenecking. As I mentioned, here are your options:

For higher performance (FPS):
Reduce draw distance or shadows if available, overclock CPU, overclock RAM, or upgrade CPU.

If you simply do not want your CPUs' cores under 100% load you can:
Increase graphical settings until GPU usage is near 100%, or set an Framerate cap.

Are you sure the i5 6600k is bottlenecking the 1060 I thought they were a perfect match. Also I've already set a frame rate cap, other sites and professionals suggest they're a good pair. Btw I've seen an increase in frame rate from these suggestions (currently getting 50 - 80 fps) but I still don't get as many frames as I should be getting and the frame rate fluxuates quite a lot, perhaps I should try switching to dx 11? Anyways thanks for the help.
