Shutdowns while playing intensive games.

So I just recently purchased a custom built PC just under three months ago, although I didn't choose all the parts, and sometimes when I'm playing some games for a while it just shuts off. I've looked at loads of threads with similar situations with the consensus typically being overheating or a faulty PSU.

I've monitored the temperatures, with HWMonitor, of the CPU & GPU and I don't think they go into excessive temperatures which leads me to believe that isn't the reason, although on the other hand the problem's becoming more prevalent with Summer now starting, particularly today which was hot. At least I'm pretty certain it isn't the CPU, I ran prime95 for 20 minutes and it never went above 60, but maybe that's naive?

I really have no idea how to determine whether the problem is to do with the PSU. Is there a something I can do, other than trying another PSU because I don't have another one, to determine if it is the source of the problem?

I've also tried to check the event logs to see what happens before but there's nothing there, just a critical event telling me that there was an unexpected shutdown at that time, but no actual event shows at the corresponding time.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz
GTX 1070 Windforce OC 8GB
AB350M-HD3
Enermax ENG650AGT
Corsair Carbide SPEC-ALPHA Case

Idle Temp.
CPU: 31
GPU: 38

Load Temp.
CPU: 51
GPU: 70

I've got no idea what the problem is, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The main Problem about Processor ryzen the Guy back in my answered thread Had Ryzen 3 1200 he also face shutedown problem I suggested him about Intel i5 proccessor's...instead Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.2 GHz you have to go to intel's i5 or i7.
Check here you can play game or not: http://www.game-debate.com/

I don't understand. What is the problem with the Ryzen processor?

Is there a way I can confirm it is the power supply that is the problem?

Okay, I'll come out of denial then and look into replacing it with something better rated. Would you be able to elaborate though? Even operating at 80% efficiency, which it claims at the very least, it should be able to provide more than enough power right? Are they lying? Or is the low quality of the part meaning it's unreliable?

80% effiecent means that the psu ability to convent ac to dc power. When a psu is rated the highest I thing now is titanium and the lowest is 80 plus which isn’t even bronze. What I’m saying is this your psu is rated at 650 watts but is not as Effiecent when converting ac to dc power hence why your are getting shutdowns. My psu is a platinum and I think is over 90% effiecent. I was running a bronze power supply before I got a new one with 4790k and 2 960s in sli . I was getting restarts when playing gta and my psu being a bronze theoretically could handle it but over time the poor quality of the psu was showing and couldn’t keep up with my system. I never had that issue again with my seasoning 750 platinum mind you my bronze cool master v2 was a 750

Sorry, I still don't really get what is happening. Is the supply failing to output the needed power? Or is the supply failing to draw the required power for the conversion? What is it exactly about having a low efficiency that causes a power supply to fail?

Anyways I'm going to try a different PSU and hopefully that solves it. Thanks for helping me out by the way.
