I've bought a laptop 6 months ago and everything went relatively well until two days ago when I started playing Rise of the Tomb Raider. The game runs at 30 fps at best on low settings and 1080p and that shouln't be the case. Other games started acting up as well. Do you know what could be causing this?
i7-7700HQ 2.8Ghz
GTX 1050 4GB
8GB RAM@2133MHz

Already tried
High Performance power plan is active
Playing with High-performance Nvidia processor
Clean reinstalled GeForce drivers and GeForce experience
Even tried playing with the optimal settings on GFE and had 25 fps
Tried every preset settings in the game and except Very High (which averages around 20 fps ), all the others, including Low, average at no more than 30 fps (no, i don't have my fps locked)
