Before I begin I will list my setup:
ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E Gaming Motherboard
Geforce GTX 1080
Corsair CX 500 power supply
H100i V2 cooler
Intel i7 8700K Processor
WDC 1TB HD and Intel 400GB SSD
At idle, my CPU temps are normally around 34 degrees Celsius, which I believe is okay, but when I enter Overwatch which puts my CPU at around 45% usage, the temperature climbs to around 95 degrees Celcius, which is way too hot for that load in my opinion. I have heard the the new Coffee Lake chips do have a tendency to run hot, but I have never heard as hot as I am currently expereincing under that amount of load. Do you beleive this is a CPU problem, or rather a cooler problem that is causing these higher temps. Thanks for all your help guys.
