Before I begin I will list my setup:

ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E Gaming Motherboard
Geforce GTX 1080
Corsair CX 500 power supply
H100i V2 cooler
Intel i7 8700K Processor
WDC 1TB HD and Intel 400GB SSD

At idle, my CPU temps are normally around 34 degrees Celsius, which I believe is okay, but when I enter Overwatch which puts my CPU at around 45% usage, the temperature climbs to around 95 degrees Celcius, which is way too hot for that load in my opinion. I have heard the the new Coffee Lake chips do have a tendency to run hot, but I have never heard as hot as I am currently expereincing under that amount of load. Do you beleive this is a CPU problem, or rather a cooler problem that is causing these higher temps. Thanks for all your help guys.

I brought it to a computer place and they installed it wrong, my idle temps were in the 50's. My dad works with software and his company has a very good hardware person so he came to the house and reinstalled everything the correct way (i believe) by following Corsair's instructions on how to install it properly.

Do you think that I should contact Corsair or is there anything in my BIOS that is maybe overclocking it without me knowing? I'm really stuck here as I am pretty sure its all installed correctly
