So this problem started when I purchased a new EVGA 650w G3. After installing the psu I noticed after shutdown case fans, cpu fans, and gpu fans were still running. I tried fixes from the internet but nothing worked (reset cmos, change what pwr buttons do, turn off fast boot in os and bios, flashed bios, etc). I swapped with my old pc and it shutdown properly, so I assumed the new psu was at fault. I RMAd it and got a new one. Once again the G3 still makes the case fans run after shutdown. Any suggestions.

Windows 10
EVGA 650w G3
MSI 760gma-p34 (fx)
AMD FX-6300 3.5-4.0ghz
Hyper 212 evo
PNY GTX 1060 3gb
WD 1tb Blue
7 120mm fans (including heatsink)

I guess by just looking at that motherboard most fans are molex powered? If you flip the powerswitch on the back of the psu do they still run? just off then on again.

If the above fixes it not sure what to do against it btw, might want to contact EVGA on their support site.

All the fans are connected to a hub using 3pin. I did notice though when I swapped psu the 1st time only the molex connected fans would stay running (I originally had a fan splitter that was molex powered.)
But yes, the fans will turn off after I turn the psu switch off.

I was thinking it was the motherboard as well. Maybe because it's kind of dated?
Does anyone think it would damage anything if after every shutdown I just switched the psu off?
I am saving up for a Ryzen 5 build, so I wont be using this rig in a month or two.

Yea they stay off until I switch the psu on and push the power button.

Are the cpu fans also connected to the hub? Would have the hub them connected to the cpu fan header.
Is the hub part of the case?
Can the system fan header 2 be changed to pwm? Guess it's set to DC now. Look in the bios for this.
Just for test can you switch the sata cable used to another connector on the psu side?
