(win7) New mobo, innumberable crashes/freezes/etc after fresh install and update HELP

I really need help.

I have included the dxdiag for your convenience below. Briefly, it is a core i5-3570k, on a DZSL77-k intel board, with a GTX 670 and 16 gb of ddr3 ram. Recently, the motherboard in my machine died, so I swapped it the used DZ board above. I did a fresh install, a full windows update, and the following things have been happening that did not occur before the reinstallation and mobo swap.

1. Media files playing (i.e. twitch, pandora, youtube, etc) cause the system to frequently freeze up entirely and requires a reset.

2. When playing graphically intense games, BSOD occurs or the game will stutter and the system will grind to a halt and require reset. Note I did monitor CPU/GPU temps and they did not exceed normal limits.

3. USB devices are sometimes not being recognized.

In device manager, there are two items with the yellow caution triangle on them. CDC serial, and PCI simple communications controller.

What can I do to prevent these frustrating problems from occurring? Is it most likely I was just sent a bad mobo? Thanks in advance for your consideration of my problem.

Given that you introduced 1 new variable (the motherboard) which resulted in multiple symptoms, I would start with replacing that.

The USB issue is most likely the southbridge (on the motherboard) having issues. Simplest fix is a add-on card, this most of the time but is not guaranteed.
The BSOD while gaming could be any number of things. Most of these are caused by drivers, with video cards causing 85% and audio card the next largest chunk.
In case you're real stubborn and want to beat your head against this wall a little longer, you could try checking those.

The PCI comms controller and the CDC don't matter. Just disable them in the Device Manager. Your problems seem to be machine-wide, which is either incorrect Intel chipset drivers or a bad memory module.

1. I always use drivers from the supplied DVD. Reinstall the Intel chipset drivers, including USB3.
2. Reseat the memory dimms and run memtest86 from a USB boot stick

Futher things to test, but less likely to be the problem.
3. Reseat the GPU card.
4. Lift the CPU and make sure none of the socket "whiskers" are bent. Usually the .machine
will not boot past the BIOS if so.
5. Scan the disk for a bad sector anywhere near the WIndows folder. Usually within the first 25GB.

If you have some LInux eperience, boot with a live Linux USB and try out the hardware. If hardware is broken then Linux will also misbehave.

Unfortunately the seller did not include the motherboard drivers DVD, so I had to piece them together from where I could find them. I like your ideas and I will give them a shot.

Get the drivers from the site. The dvd drivers are probably out of date

If you can get into windows upload the small dmp files to onedrive or a file sharing site then post the link

Dont install any driver, if its not for the mobo it wont work and it can and will cause probs

Ok I ran the memtest86 for 3.5 hours and it detected 16 errors. THree on Test 4, 1 on test 5, 4 on test 6, and 8 on test 7. It said total bits in error was 1. Does this mean the RAM is the culprit and I should replace it instead of the mobo?

Upload the dmp files. If memtest sows errors replace / remove the ram

fvevol.sys is causing one of the crashes. Do you use bitlocker? Or what are you using to encrypt files?

I do not use bitlocker.

I replaced the ram. Unfortunately I still got a system hang. Also still getting weird USB errors. I'll try a another fresh reinstall after the seller sends me a replacement mobo.

Well the above file/driver is causing one of the crashes. And it looks like it belongs to Bitlocker

This file is causing a crash esrv_svc.exe. It either belongs to Intel driver update util, or Sony Vaio Care (which I doubt). Or something belonging to Intel

This file cpuiox64.sys is 5 yrs old - Intel desktop utilities. Update or uninstall it

What does this file belong to? easytthr.sys

How many AV / firewall programs did you install??

Looks like Symantec AV Corporate, Norton Internet Security maybe installed, and Norton 360 Premium

You should only have 1 firewall program installed, otherwise they'll conflict with each other

And one of the dmp files 25-26 files are in chinese characters. And there are 13 unknown modules in it
