Hello. so i'm looking for some NON noise cancelling headphones that allow me to hear what's going around me or if someone calls me. Needs to be headphones as i want to attach a mod mic to the side of them. also would like a comfy fit price range is around 150$. any suggesting would be greatly appreciated. Was also thinking would mesh type ear pads allow me to hear my surrounds more? Thanks in advance.

Heyo Briomhar

All the suggestions from below will pretty much need an amp to run probably.
This AMP/DAC combo will run all of them with no problem.

https://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E10K-Headphone-Amplifier-Black/dp/B00LP3AMC2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1510574196&sr=1-1&keywords=fiio+e10k

A few suggestions:

Beyerdynamic DT990/DT880

DT990 [Amp needed]
https://www.amazon.com/beyerdynamic-990-open-Studio-Headphone/dp/B0011UB9CQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1510573544&sr=1-1&keywords=dt990

DT880 [Amp needed]
https://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-880-Premium-HiFi-headphones/dp/B0024NK35S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1510573526&sr=8-3&keywords=dt880

The DT990's are full open-backs first off all. They have a nice soundstage and is somewhat laidback if you ask me. They can have some harsh treble, but some people really enjoy this. These are amazing for gaming though.

The DT880's are semi-opened and is a mix between the DT770's (Closed-backs) and the DT990. A clean sounding headphone with great bass response and good midrange. Also great for mixing if that's your thing.

Phillips SHP9500

Good pair of cheap headphones. IMO they sound like the Sennheiser HD650's, but with more treble.

Fostex T50RP MKIII [Amp needed]

https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Headphones-Headphone-Amplifier-Camcorders/dp/B01LN6I1WS/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1510573704&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=fostex+t50rp&psc=1

The link has a portable amp included. Chose that link since it's the same price as the actual headphone.
These are a pair of planar magnetic headphones. This basically means that the tones are faster and can be more precise. The longer explanation is that it uses a thin sheet of metal with neodynamic magnets on each site, which makes it move back and fourth quickly.
Great pair of semi-opened headphones which deliver great clarity in the mids and highs.
They will however pretty much need a pad swap. These would do them nicely.

Audio Technica ATH-AD900X [Amp needed]

Great clarity in the treble, but can seem to lack in the bass region. These are amazing for vocals. This also means that classic will sound gorgeous on these.

Monoprice M560 [Amp needed]

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSH781C/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?psc=1

These are a little pricey, but well worth the money. Again this a pair of planar magnetic headphones. Personally I find them to be a very dark headphone, but with outstanding bass response. Good mids and great treble.

Hope some of these will wake some interest.
Cheers
