I am considering upgrading my pc. What I am wondering is can I reuse my existing case or do i need a new one? Similar question about my hard drives. I know there are better ones out there but are they worth the cost? I am on a budget so if I can reuse some of my components that would be great.

I used to be up on hardware but that was a decade ago so I am asking for some advice. I know the motherboard, memory and processor have to go.

My current specs are: (don't laugh! It was pretty good back in the day)
-Thermaltake Soprano case
-ECS Elitegroup PN2 SLI2+ motherboard (Nvidia Nforce 680SLI)
-2 Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm hard drives (Raid 0)
-Intel Core 2 Duo 8500 processor
-4gb DDR2 400
-Nvidia Geforce 8600 GTS (I recently had to downgrade to this as my better vid card fried but I plan on getting a better card)
-Cooler Master GX 750 power supply.

I'm not looking nor can afford the latest and greatest. 3 or 4 year old tech is fine with me.

So what can I keep and what do I need to be looking for? I don't even where to start with processors. Again I don't need the best but don't want to pay for crap if a few bucks more will help performance.

The games I play mostly are World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and LOTRO. None of which are huge resource hogs. I'd like to increase my graphics on them though.

Thanks for any suggestions

Your case is large so almost anything will fit in it and the PSU has lots of power. The cheapest thing to do if you don't want to change everything is upgrade your ram from 4gb to 8gb and get a newer video card. Make sure the specs of the ram are the same or better than what you have [speed, timing, latency]. The newest budget graphics cards [Geforce GT 1030 & Radeon RX 550] are much less than $100 and would be a big improvement over what you have.
