I'm planning to build my first pc and I'm not upgrading anytime soon(not within 5 years). Should GTX 1050ti will be enough for 5 years and getting 50fps+ assuming I play at medium setting

Solution
You could look at the 750Ti for a comparison. It will have been on the market for 4 years next February. If you lower texture settings (2GB vram limit) and set most other things to medium, then it's still putting in decent performance at 1080p.

In e-sports, older games and less demanding titles you can turn things up a lot more. Here are some 1080p 'High' benchmarks from 2017. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ks4ybJDjC1A

With a 4GB 1050Ti we can expect a similar lifespan I'd estimate. (Unless everything becomes DX12 and Vulkan only ofc!)

MERGED QUESTION
Question from tonklar22 : "What is average lifespan of a graphic card?"

I'm building my PC and would like to know how much the card will last. I'm getting a MSI GAMING X RX 570 4G. I have school so I only play it around 1-2 hours a day.

My GTX 650 lasted for 3 years and it was lasting for long but I wanted to change it to gtx 1050ti so you dont need to worry about it as long as it works you will be fine you will be able to play games on med-high settings without a doubt.
