Specs:
AMD FX6300
Sapphire R9 280x VaporX 3gb
24gb ram (Corsair Vengeance)
Cooler master hyper 212x

My idle pc temp is around 40-43 degree celsius. Max 56 while gaming. Is this good? If not, how to make the temp go down??

That doesn't sound right. That temperature spread seems too small. What are you using to monitor your temperatures? http://www.amd.com/en/technologies/amd-overdrive is best for pre-Ryzen AMD CPUs.

If it is right those temps are good. The idle temperature is a little high.

Buy a Noctua NH D14 and you could lower them. Do they need to be lowered? Most likely not. http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-2122665/understanding-temperature-amd-cpus-apus.html helps to explain that program.

This temperature is based off of precise calculations that are very accurate during heavy loads. This is what you should be concerned with while stress testing your CPU. This is also the signal that is most often erroneously interpretted by 3rd party programs like HWMonitor, ect. Use AMD Overdrive to measure thermal margin.

You will be looking at margins instead of temperature. The top temp is 100C. Let's say you are seeing 60C. That means your CPU is at 40C. It shows you the margin between the CPU's temp. and the tjmax temp.

Offer a screenshot if you want. When you are replying you can click the icon that looks like a Polaroid pic.. Paste an url that ends with jpg, png, bmp or other pic extension. Pasting

You can also just offer a link. https://postimg.org/image/n70ircu9f/.

My thermal margin stays around 29-32 degree celsius when idle. :( :(

will post after running a game. :) thanks for your quick replies

When you have HwInfo running go ahead and play a game for a while(over 15 minutes) When you're done take a screenshot of HwInfo's screen(make sure we can see all the CPU info). That will show us your "idle" and load temperature. Running http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=15504(small FTTs) for 15 minutes can you you the CPU's temp. under max load.

And you already knew that:D

check this out...is this shot okay?

70 max isn't bad. It isn't great either. It isn't anything you need to worry about. Just keep heatsink's fins clean. You can visit your BIOS and change your CPU's fan curve if you want it to cool a bit more aggressively but that's not necessary.

Speaking of BIOS I would like you to visit there for something else I saw within HwInfo's screenshot. I need you to find your +12V information. HwInfo is showing under 12V. That should NEVER happen.

Sorry, I didn't get you. What are the causes and effects of this showing under 12V? What should I do to take it back to normal? Thanks for helping...

GO into your BIOS and find the health info. I would like for you to tell me the 12V number. It may fall under 12V during a heavy load. At idle it shouldn't. Nothing you can do apart from buying a new PSU.

It's 11.88 in the bios man :/

My advice is to buy a new PSU. Personally I'd choose the 550W G3. That gives room for overclocking of your GPU and CPU. The 1080 only needs a 500W PSU. The 650W G2 or 3 is another option or stick with Be Quiet.

As far as cooling is concerned it's okay. I'd invest in the Cryorig H7 or if you want to "keep it in the family" you could choose the https://www.amazon.co.uk/Be-Quiet-BK019-Dark-Heatsink/dp/B00HPX7J4K. Make sure your case is wide enough. That's my opinion. Others are perfectly happy with that temperature. It's well within the safety window but I like it cooler. I wouldn't sell or donate that PSU. Recycle responsibly.
