Hey guys this is my first time posting here so let me know if i'm doing anything wrong.

A few weeks ago my computer started to randomly shutdown while playing games (Mainly World of Warcraft but other games do the same) with no BSOD, after hours of searching i seen that the reasons for event 41 in the event viewer seemed to be endless with some pointing to software and some pointing to hardware. After numerous attempts at software fixes I ended up just reinstalling windows to be sure but the problem persisted.

So onto hardware, ill list below some of the things I've checked to try and fix the problem:

1. GPU & CPU are no where near overheating during game play
2. I tired disconnecting all other hard drives other than my SSD to minimise power usage to check that my system is not under powered
3. I check all power cables are connected properly

I should note that the system is a few years old with no problems up until now, i should also note that the problem seems to happen randomly, i can go for hours without it happening or it can happen 10 minutes in. The only way I can seem to replicate the issue is by running Prime95 and Furmark at the same time but i'm not sure if this would cause a lot of system to power down.

Any clues, i'm suspecting power supply but don't have a spare to test it and want to make sure that is the problem before buying a new one? Basic specs below.

CPU: Intel i7- 3820 @ 3.6GHz
GPU: GTX 980Ti
RAM: 16GB
Mobo: MSI x79a-GD45
PSU: Corsair CX750

Thanks in advance
