Multi purpose server build, what cpu?

Hello there, I'm currently looking for a solid build to store my backup on, host game server(s) and do some light cryptomining.
I've got mostly everything figured out with the exception of a cpu.
I know that mining does not require a lot of processing power and will do fine with just a celeron, however, I do not know what the requirements for a NAS or a typical game server are.
As for the game server(s), it's not anything huge, I don't intend on hosting a server for hundreds of people. Perhaps just a Rust server and teamspeak, something like that.

How many cores will this require? Will a simple pentium do the job or is it better to go with something that packs a bit more power like a locked i5?

Servers in general need a lot of RAM and a FAST CPU and hard drives, that's Server grade drives that are rated for that type of use.

Or they will bog down.

Figure min an I7 and 32 GB of ram with 64 GB recommended. There is a lot of data moving back and forth between the host machine and the clients running a game server.

Much different needs than a typical little file server for a small home network. Doesn't take much to do that.

But then a real server is like Dual Xeons or more and 128GB of ram or more and SAS hard drives etc.
