Hello guys,

i want my pc to be connected to the modem, so i have a direct connection from the pc (pppoe).
This works without any problems. Now I want to share the internet from my PC to the router.
My router is a Fritzbox 7360, where I set it to "already existing internet". I also connected the network cable to port 1.

On my PC I have shared the internet for the network card which is connected to the router. My router indicates that it is connected to the ip 192.168.168.137.1. But when I connect to the router with my smartphone, there is no internet.

i hope someone can help me here.
I know i could connect my modem with router but i dont want that.

That is because it does not work that way.

You get one ip address from the internet provider, when you PC is using it, you cant then let another device also use it.

This is the entire purpose of a router.
A router takes the one IP address from the ISP, and creates a separate network so that all of the devices underneath it can share that one internet connection. Hence the WAN and LAN ports.
A router also has a very needed first layer of security. Having your computer connected direct to the modem makes it much much more open to attack. its like having a gate with no fence or a door on your house with 8ft wide holes in the wall.

Thus you need to go modem---router----PC and not modem---PC---router
