Recently I took my computer over to a friends house and everything was fine, however once i returned home i plugged everything in and it seemed to work, but nothing was coming up on the monitor. I turned of my computer to hard reset, but i noticed the cpu and power supply fans were still spinning. I unplugged the power supply and turned it off, but both fans were still spinning, after a little troubleshooting we got the power supply fan to turn off, still though; the cpu fan was spinning. When we were going to unplug the graphics card, we pulled out the HDMI cable and the cpu fan stopped spinning, we changed graphics cards and even used a DCI adapter to HDMI and still the fan would spin when we plugged them in. When i turned it on, everthing sounded like it was booting up properly, but there was no picture on the monitor. anybody know why this is happening, and if i can fix it.

Solution
I found out that the hdmi i had running out of the graphics card, which was running into my capture card was acting like a battery, causing the cpu fan to spin.
