wont get past initializing chipset

I have been trying to get this server to work for a while, but everytime i try and boot it gets stuck on intializing chipset. I know the ram is not the problem because i have tried with working ram that is compatible. I tryed reseating the cpu and that didn't work either, all the connections are checked. The only problem i can think of is that the mobo mx31-bs0 is running an older bios that doesnt support the processor i have in it e3-1225 v6. But i do not know how update the bios as i cannot figure out the bmc ip address or access the bios itself

It's compatible. But the right BIOS has to be on it now to support it

You cant update the BIOS if this is the prob.

If the mobo was an ASUS mobo that supports BIOS flashback you could. But, it's a GB mobo

Unless you buy / borrow a CPU (the current BIOS thats on it now) supports, flash the BIOS then reinstall this CPU

Or take it to a shop and ask them to try different CPU's. Hopefully, one works so you / they can do the above
