Can i use old cpu stock cooler? Intel

Hello i currently have Intel pentium g620 cpu, socket is lga1155. I just wanna ask if i upgrade it to a intel i5-3570k for 100euros, do i need to get a cooler for new cpu or i can use old stock cooler i got from g620, because i need to buy some other things.

yes you will need a new cooler. and depending on your motherboard also , you maybe can overclock the CPU or not.

you will need "Z" motherboard to overclock a "K" CPU.

for cheap good cooler, look for Cryorig H7

Soo i need to buy a new one even if i dont want to overclock it?
Because i saw some people use their old stock cooler as a cooler for a new processor.
