Hi, i have had many answers on previous threads so thank you all.

So, i have a gaming PC which i was told was great but turns out its not all that. See below -

Processor: AMD Athlon X4-860K CPU, 4 Cores, 3.7 - 4GHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Graphics Card
CPU Cooler: AMD Quiet 95W Stock CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-HD2 Motherboard
Memory: 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz Memory (1 x 8GB Stick)
Hard Drive: Seagate 1TB SSHD Hybrid Drive
Power Supply: Aerocool 80 PLUS 500W PSU
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

After some help from some of you, i think to upgrade this on a budget i need the following.

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI - B350 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Power Supply: SeaSonic - S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Will this work and be sufficient for the next few years?

Also, Question 2 - I bought the current PC with Windows 10 pre installed. Will i need to reinstall windows again if i replace the parts?

Thank you!!

Actually, samer.forums, you're misinforming again. You can perform a mild overclock on the stock cooler. If your airflow is good, then the clocks can be higher. You wouldn't need to buy an aftermarket cooler and there's also the degree at which you want to overclock that needs to be taken into account.

Ricky2351991,
Case in point the stock cooler will do. Get your feet wet with understanding the workings of how to overclock and then take the plunge later on when you're confident.

To also note, the previous 1600 was a better choice if you're sticking to the GTX1050Ti and GTX1060 6GB. If you want to drop in more GPU power than the 1600 is worth it. Wait! What's your budget again?

Oh ok cool. So basically for an extra £60ish i can go for the Ryzen 7. Will i require better cooling? If so what would you recommend?
