8pin psu cable to 4 pin MoBo?

i have intel mobo it have 4 pin connector but my psu only have 8 pin connector and its not 4+4
can i connect the 8 pin psu connector into the MoBo 4 pin ?

Yes. if you have enough room for the other half of the 4 pins to overhang.

I believe that is the adapter you need.

If the PSU is of questionable quality or really old maybe consider a new one instead. See pcpartpicker for your country.
