R9 390x on a bronze 650W psu

I have a know people have asked this question a lot here. Still my concern remains.

I have a r9 390x lying in my home for a week or so.

And my pc is not overclocked but my psu is antec neo eco 650w bronze psu.
So is it safe to plug it into the pc and running some games?

It's a decent PSU so it should be fine.

PSU requirements for the R9 390 is 750 Watts.
I put a R9 390 on my 700W PSU. It was so flaky and crashing I returned it after 2 days.
The only way to be sure is to give it a try. Hopefully you will have better luck than I did.

Your mileage may vary.

If I'm not mistaken the R9 390 will take around 320W under maximum load, add to that 100W from CPU and a bit for rest of the system and he should be fine.

The graphics card can SPIKE to about 400W:

If it's a modern Intel or AMD Ryzen build then we can estimate maybe 150W max for the rest of the build but it VARIES quite a bit.

So that is 550W, probably worst-case so should be fine.

Might be closer to 450W average depending on rest of system.
