I'm thinking of upgrading my pc with the parts; AMD Ryzen 5 1600, MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon, Socket-AM4 and Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8GB Pulse. Intended use is gaming, archicad and adobe programs.

My current components are a 500w PSU, AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-core processor, Sapphire AMD RadeonR9 200 ASUS M5A97 R2.0, Socket-AM3, 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz Ballistix Sport RAM-memory, AMD FX-6300 Black Edition Processor, poiprod wd desktop blue 1tb sata 3.0, samsung dvd-rw sh-224db/bebe sata bulk, cooler master b500 ver.2 500w psu, cooler master haf 912 advanced complete edition.

Currently I have Windows 10. I got my computer 30.12.2014. I am located in Norway and are willing to pay around 10 000kr for the upgrade.

However I need to know that everything is compatible with each other, if not I'd like some advice on parts to replace to make the PC better.

For you purposes, 8400 will be a good choice.

For your parts, they are compatible except ram, what psu is it? If not reliable, I will get a new one. SSD should be added to your build for Adobe and game loading speed. Usually 1600 is accompanied with B350 MB, 1700 + with X370 MB. Can I ask what Adobe programs do you run? 3D or 4D, ratio among gaming/cad/adobe? I am asking is because CAD heavily depends on single core which Ryzen is weaker than coffee lake I5.

Good catch by wolf, you will need ddr4 ram, which is not supported by any Ryzen MBs.

On adobe I am gonna use InDesign, Bridge CC and Photoshop CC. Do you think that it would be better to take Intel Core i5-8400 Prosessor, HyperX Fury DDR4 2400MHz 16GB and Corsair TX750M, 750W PSU? What SSD would you suggest?
