I have purchased this board S2600JF, have been trying to get it up. I have reversed the atx 12v connectors and connected to the motherboard.

I have shorted the ATX psu pins so that it gives 12v on the rails, as well connected the 5vsb to motherboard.

Once I switch on the ATX power supply, I get a stable non-blinking green light.

To start the board power sequence, I then short the FP PWR_BTN_N pin 36 as per page on this url
(hxxps://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/motherboards/server/sb/g31608015_s2600jf_tps_r2_41.pdf)

And I then hear the following beeps 1-5-4-4 which according to the following page means (hxxps://www.intel.in/content/www/in/en/support/articles/000006001/server-products.html) means

Power control fault Power good assertion timeout - Power unit sensors report soft power control failure offset.

Followed by an amber light which is constant and not blinking and nothing turns up on the VGA screen. Any ideas what else to do to get this monster up?

Here are the pictures.

By the way, an old thread was mentioning that they got it working but did not mention how. Kindly help. I will be able to post a tutorial if its successful so that others can benefit from this knowledge.

Mine never worked however many permutations and combinations i tried. There is simply no post. Just 1-5-4-4 beeps. I tried it with a normal 750 watt cooler master psu.

I guess you will need an smbus or a pmbus complain psu.

If it works for you let me know.
