Hello!
I have ran into an issue where every so often my monitor goes black but displays "no connection."
I am trying to figure out if its my monitor or my graphics card
Monitor is an Asus ROG swift 24 inch
Graphics Card EVGA 1060 ssc
Running an asus b150 pro mobo and i5 7600k
The issue stil happened with both the last and newest NVidia drivers.
My monitor driver is up to date as well.

This is a new issue.. my setup has been running since last December without this issue.
I can reproduce the issue when I wake up the computer from sleep mode. I will wake it up.. it will display for a second then flash with a no connection message then go right back to what I was doing.
It is more frequent in games.
Thanks!

Solution
If the Windows doesn't crash when "no connection", I guest that the cable connecting the box and the monitor maybe damaged.

Maybe the internal structure inside the monitor cable is broken (a little bit), which cause the signal transmission unstable.

A slim displayport cable is a better choice, it is not easily broken compared to stiff or thick ones. You can get a slim displayport cable easily on Amazon
