Hi!
I study Business Analytics (Msc course) in Greece.
I would like to help me in order to build a new Desktop computer for my purpose.
Now, I have only a laptop(Lenovo, with i5 4th gen, 8ram, samsung 250 SSD and 512 HDD).

Thus, I want to build a machine for OLAP, Business Inteligence (BI), Business Process Management (BPM) and analytics softwares.
Basically, I already use the following softwares in my laptop:

  • R studio, iPython
    Visual Studio(SSIS)
    SAS
    Tabluae & PowerBi (Visuallization tools)
    Aris Community(for BPM)
    Excel

Moreover, I use a lot illustrator and also Photoshop for general purpose and presentations.
I'm not a gamer, the last game which I play was minesweeper
:/

I would like to spend around 700e(without: screen, keyboard, mouse)

P.S It will be better to have a AMD Razer CPU than an intel in this budget?

Thanks your for your help!!! :ange:

16 go more appropriate, PSU has cheaper replacement, my edits:

Thanks vapour for your quick response!:) But I have a problem..Memory and Motherboard are a bit more expensive in Greece and take me out of budget..

Do you have any alternatives to suggest? (In greece we use www.skroutz.gr)

Also I have a question about the Power Supply, is it worth to buy a Gold class or not.

Thanks a lot for your time!! :bounce:

CPU: Ryzen 1600: 200e OK!

MOTHERBOARD/MEMORIES:MSI B350M Gaming Pro is 2 DIMM Slots and Patriot Viper 4 Series 16GB DDR4-3200MHz are 4
(Also the memories are out of stock in Digital Master shop)

GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX1050 2GB Mini (ZT-P10500A-10L) is quite cheap, so will I have a problem with illustrator or Photoshop?

CASE: I'm between NZXT Source 340(75e) and Phanteks Eclipse P400 Tempered Glass (85e)
(Cougar MX330-X is very vfm but I would like t one of the above)

POWER SUPPLY
: Can you suggest me a vfm gold class?

(I live in Attiki/Athens and if a shop is out of Athens I will have high extra charges 15-30e)

thanks again!!!

Hi Vapour!!
You have suggested me a set of 4 memories (4 x 4GB CMK16GX4M4B3000C15) and the motherboard MSI B350M Gaming Pro has only 2 DIMM Slots. Also, in Greece the CMK16GX4M4B3000C15 memories aren't available in the shop with the lowest price.

So, I changed a bit and I want your opinion about the following build:

CPU:AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - 200e
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte AB350-Gaming 3 (rev. 1.0) - 108e
MEMORY:Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3000MHz (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) -185e
GPU:Zotac GeForce GTX1050 2GB Mini (ZT-P10500A-10L) -118e
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair CX Series CX550 - 60e

Do you have any better motherboard options for this build?
If yes, suggest me few of them from www.skroutz.gr (more than one option if you can:))
