So I bought a new power supply because my old one wasn't working properly, along with buying a new GTX 1070 and 3TB HDD as well, and my PC managed to boot up fine but my monitor displayed "No signal detected".

I couldn't work out what the problem was and after doing some troubleshooting with a speaker and beep tests, it displayed no beeps suggesting it was either my motherboard or power supply. As the PSU was literally brand new I assumed my motherboard was defect, so I purchased a new ASUS B150, with a new i7-7700k and 16gb DDR4.

I set it all up with high hopes, and the problem is still the same?? I'm almost ready to give up, I've checked all connections are connected and that the ram is in the right slots for this specific motherboard, and I've connected a speaker too but that still reports no beeps, suggesting the problem is my motherboard or PSU, so what else can I do?? I know there's a million posts out there regarding this issue but just wanted to submit my personal scenario to make assistance a lot easier.

Thanks in advance :)

Specs:
- i7-7700k 4.2ghz
- Gigabyte GTX 1070 8gb
- Patriot DDR4 16gb 2400Mhz
- Asus B150 Mobo
- EVGA 850GQ
- 3TB HDD
- 1TB HDD
- 120GB SSD
- Optical Drive (don't usually have this connected, only connected to install Win10 but haven't got that far yet)
- Corsair Obsidian 750D Case

Solution
Yup take it to a shop, and ask them if they could flash the BIOS with a Skylake CPU. Then reinstall this CPU

Unless you know someone who can give you a Skylake for a few mins then you can do it yourself.

Thats the only way its going to turn on. They may charge you a few $. It'll be less than buying a supported Kaby La

Download the BIOS update extract it put it on a flash drive. Take it with you. Save the shop downloading it

Hey there!
Can you elaborate on what your system is doing? Is it powering on at all?
Even though you've mentioned that everything is plugged in properly I'd urge you to double check all the power connectors on both the PSU (if its modular) and the components themselves. Also ensure the gpu is slotted in the appropriate PCI-E slot.
Are you plugging the monitor on the gpu or the integrated mobo slot? Have you tried booting without the gpu installed to see if there is a difference at all?

It needs a bios update for a Kaby Lake. But you'll have to buy or borrow a Skylake CPU to do it or take it to a shop

B150, H110, and Z170 mobos need a BIOS update for Kaby Lake CPU's

If you want a Kaby Lake get a B250, H270, or Z270 mobo, they'll be more compatible and wont need a BIOS update

The PC turns on like normal, all the lights and fans turn on but it just doesn't connect to the monitor. And no difference with the GPU removed either :///

Thank you for the reply, so are you saying I can keep the motherboard and CPU but I need to take it into a shop to get the bios update? Or are you saying I need to get one of the Kaby Lake motherboards?

Alright thanks! So just out of sheer curiosity, what would I gain out of getting a Kaby Lake mobo? You say it'd be more compatible but how so? Would it be worth the money or not?
