As you can see from these results on 10/12 I did a speed test while attempting to download a game, and it seemed to destroy my test. As well as my download going extremely slow at the ~6 MB/s (10:42 test)

I did a couple test shortly after it was completed (10:49) and it was still very low. When I came back a half hour later it seemed to be fixed and returned to 64.9 MB/S.

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on what could be causing this issue.

Edit: I just did another test after completing my download and finished with 51.69 MB/S DL and 5.63 UP

The Download speed is the 2nd row and goes down, it shows the MB/S

But that's not all sources? I can totally believe that's the speed during the game download/update, and when it goes to 50+ that's when the download/update is finished. When it's in the single digits, what is the download/update speed?

I was getting from 3-7 mb/s

Now you used b instead of B. It's SUPER important to make sure you are using the correct letter. As mentioned above there is a difference between b and B.

When testing your speed you need to make sure nothing else is using your bandwidth. I look at your pic, but nothing shows me what your download speed is. If you are downloading something, it's going to fill your pipe and leave you with little for browsing, etc.

The Download speed is the 2nd row and goes down, it shows the MB/S I understand that I'm not supposed to be doing much while doing a Download since it can take up my bandwidth. However I used it as a test to show you guys the speed at which my things are downloading.

I think your issue is that you are getting mixed up with "Mbps" (megabits per second) and "MBp/s" (megabytes per second). As default, Speedtest will measure your speed in "Mbps" (as shown in your screenshot) while applications like Origin/Steam use "MBps".

The conversion rate of megabyte's to megabit's is a 1MB = 8mb. Applied to your scenario, your connection of 65MBp/s = 8.1MBp/s (or 51Mbp/s = 6.1MBp/s) which is not far off the 6MB/s that you are getting. As 4745454b said, you use bandwidth (Mbps/MBps) while downloading so you would expect your Speedtest to be slower while downloading.

EDIT: Oops, you used MBp/s when referring to your Speedtest result, not your game downloading rate. My bad. What download speeds are you getting in your game download (on Steam or whatever you are using)?

I was getting from 3-7 mb/s while downloading overwatch through the battle.net client. I had it set so it wouldn't be limited through the client for max Download speed as well.
