The system was BSoD-ed while a permission update was processing. After a reboot, the system can't recognize all the drives. When I start Disk manager, it stuck at the 'Virtual Disk' part. I set up the Windows Storage Space with parity and fixed configuration. I use 3x WD Re 4TB HDD. How can I recover the data? If I go data recovery company (ones with their own lab), how much will cost me (around 3.5TB data to recover)?

I just got a quote from secruedatarecovery.com. They ask for $1.5k to $6.5k for recovery depending the condition of the HDD and the difficulty to recover. Is any other data recovery firms have a slightly lower price? It is soooooo expensive!

I know that there is a DIY solution, reclaime storage spaces. First, I would try to use it and only then think about spending 1,5-6K.

You state, "the system can't recognize all the drives" so have one or more drives failed?

The first thing I would do is check the SMART health status of each drive with a tool like CrystalDiskInfo.

If indeed you have failing drives the first step in DIY recovery would be to make clone images. Linux ddrescue is a popular choice for cloning failing drives.

Yes, all three drives failed. I will check the SMART info if I have time. Currently I just unplug them from my system.
